application areas
the 2100plus fluoride water quality online analyzer is designed for online monitoring of fluoride content in various water sources, including surface water, groundwater, water supply sources, industrial wastewater, and municipal sewage.
detection principles
in the presence of an ion strength adjuster, fluoride ions in the sample pass through the semi-permeable membrane of the ion-selective electrode, causing changes in the electrode potential. according to the nernst equation, under constant ion strength, the measured electromotive force is linearly related to the logarithm of the fluoride ion concentration in the sample. thus, the fluoride content in the sample can be determined from the measured potential value.
