the 2100plus chloride water quality online analyzer is designed for online monitoring of chloride content in various water sources, including surface water, groundwater, water supply sources, industrial wastewater, and municipal sewage.

detection principles

in the presence of an ion strength adjuster, chloride ions in the sample pass through the semi-permeable membrane of the ion-selective electrode, causing changes in the electrode potential. according to the nernst equation, under constant ion strength, the measured electromotive force is linearly related to the logarithm of the chloride ion concentration in the sample. thus, the chloride content in the sample can be determined from the measured potential value.
